Play a character whose magical power comes from an eldritch pact made with a.. fungus. That you carry with you. It produces food for you (because your pact means you can no lonegr eat anything else) and gives you magical powers in return for seeding colonies of it everywhere you go.. One of the two of you is domesticated, and it might be you.
