Another of my highly irregular but (hopefully) fun and informative updates!
This weekend (Apr 18th) I will once again be set up with physical books for sale at the Boddington Medieval Fayre. Come and check it out! And say hi while you’re there. Tickets are available online or at the gate.
The Fayre will be the first place that you can get physical copies of my new novel, Underhill. It is, as of today, also available online in both ebook and physical formats:

(I’ve set it to be available on all platforms, but some platforms take a few days to approve new books, so Kobo & Amazon and the various library services might only put it up towards the end of this week.)
Underhill is a standalone urban fantasy novel, set in the world of the Red Dragon and Black Dragon trilogies. It follows Thomas, a lucky (or unlucky) graphic designer who finds a not-a-genie in a bottle, and Alex, a freelance investigative journalist and PhD student who sees something she shouldn’t have, as they meet the fey for the first time and figure out how to deal with an obsessive vampire (or two). I love these characters, and they will definitely feature again in future books.
In other news, I am aiming to get Summer King (Black Dragon book 3) out by the end of this year, and The Black Keep (a new series, in a new world – teaser chapter included at the end of Underhill) out early 2027. Watch this space for updates.
For the gamers among you, the Cats of Ulthar tabletop role-playing campaign book should go out to Kickstarter supporters this July, and will be available for purchase after that. I’ll aim to have physical copies at next year’s Boddington Medieval Fayre ๐
I am also collaborating on a LitRPG novel (title still TBD) with my dear friend Michele Ong – it’s going to be fantastic fun, with cults, vampires, curses, and star-crossed (sapphic) romance, so keep an eye out for updates on that project, too! There will be a tabletop role-playing game book that comes out along with it, with the full rules that we’re going to be using for the LitRPG writing process.
That’s all for now ๐ Hope you’re all having as excellent a week as you can, given the state of the world. Stay safe – good luck, have fun, don’t die!
Cheers
Danielle Linder
